Waiters? THE BEST. Food was AMAZING, it's like they took original favorites and somehow made them better. Funniest thing, when I was walking up, this little OLLLLD man said to me randomly as he was walking out, "Just go in, they have REALLY good food!" So in we went and I wish I could go back right NOW. Tomato soup tasted like fresh tomatoes and the mac & cheese had some of the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had (grilled with balsamic, I think?!) Open air seating in the Gaslamp District is always a plus!!

Good food. Great seating outside where you can get some fresh air. The staff is super friendly and helpful w/ the menu w/ some great suggestions. The cookie dessert was amazing to go w/ our drinks on the patio.

Seriously the best buffalo wings in the world! I can't come to Gaslamp without having some. The bartenders are the best too!

First class!! LOVE this place! Now they can make an Irish Coffee!! Anastasha was a great bartender! And they had coffee! (Which surprisingly, few bars do downtown) We just stopped in for one drink after the game while waiting for the post-Padres crowd to die down, so we could get an Uber. But we love this place already, and can't wait to come back!

My friend took us here after saying that it's one of his favorite places to get brunch, so my expectations were already high. Luckily, Barleymash actually exceeded my expectations! We ordered: -B'Fast Burger ($21): beef patty, cheddar, two fried eggs, bacon, ale aioli, bourbon brown butter hollandaise, barley bun, and fries. This was such a savory delight, and I love how there was no shortage of sauce. It was everything that I want a burger to be: juicy, tender, and savory. It also came with crispy fries, and if you know me, I can always eat fries. -Pretzel Benedict ($19.25): eggs benedict, bourbon brown butter hollandaise, roasted potato hash, and your choice of short rib, pork shoulder, or bacon. We loved the short rib, so I highly recommend that you pick short rib. It is so tender, and after eating it, you'll wish for more. It came with double fried crispy potatoes. I actually liked these even more than the fries because it was crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. -All In Barley Hash ($19.75): potato hash, short rib, pork shoulder, bacon, eggs, peppers, onions, and pepper jack beer cheese sauce. If you're craving protein, this is such a perfect entree to get! It's served on a hot skillet, so it stays sizzling hot as you're eating it. After eating all that we can, the three of us all took leftovers home. This really shows how filling each entree is, and how you really get your money's worth here. You will not leave here hungry! The place was pretty packed, so the food came out a bit slowly. However, our waitress was attentive, and stopped by several times to refill our water and to check to see how we were doing. The ambiance was a lot of fun, and we even saw a bachelorette party happening. This restaurant would be a great venue to host birthday gatherings, and other larger hang outs with friends!

Favorite SD food spot consistently the best. This place just does it right. I love it here. Eat here every time. The unique menu is always consistently good. A modern take on americana. Higher end ingredients. Heightened flavors. Heavy dishes that still have elegance and fill you up. The service here is great except for some reason they have rude hostesses. No idea why. Just stand off-ish. A simple hello goes a long way. It's not a nightclub during the day. Be courteous to your paying customers. The servers and bar backs are pretty on point. This is a locals tourist bar so i never get too offended by the home court advantage. Thats what makes the energy keep going. The service, food, and drinks move fast! Food served hot. Drinks, cold. Unless you want hot drinks. Great food. Ambiance is great. Place is always clean and never smells like a dirty party bar. It never smells of old alcohol or filled with fruit flies. Great bar/restaurant. Pics to come

Ate here two nights in a row, that's probably better than saying the food and service were great! It actually got better on the second night when we order the mushrooms Mac and cheese, Turkey hamburger and blue cheese fries. And to add to it the Padres had just played a great game during a 4th July week and so the ambiance was amazing.

Happy Hour time! Stopped in for some San Diego Happy Hour and was pleasantly surprised. We were seated very quickly by the very nice staff. We opted to sit outside since there was a wait inside due to the Padres game. We appreciated that the staff turned in the outdoor heaters because it was chilly. We ordered the spicy shrimp skillet and bacon blue cheese iron fries. Both appetizers were very good and seasoned perfectly. The only recommendation I would have is for the shrimp to be grilled and not boiled in water. I didn't care for the texture. However, the saucy was money with the bread. The minus one star is because the drinks were very inconsistent. The first round was perfect and the second round had to be sent back. All in all, I wouldn't go back but would recommend for others to try!

Great bartender. Stopped by here for a few drinks on a Saturday. Chill ambiance Clean restrooms
